Charles Linwood Gray Sr., 77, of Sandston, Virginia, passed away on January 3, 2026, at Memorial Regional Hospital.
Charles was born August 5, 1948, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Sylvester Albert Gray and Lillian Virginia Gray. He was predeceased by his daughter Joyce Ann Gray.
Charles loved hunting, fishing, and tinkering with anything he could fix or repair.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tabitha Gray, Charles “Skeeter” Gray Jr. (Ashley), Anthony Gray, and Daisy Gray; his siblings Margie A. Thayer, Virginia G. Daniels “Jenny”, Sylvester A. Gray “Sonny”, and Richard S. Gray “Stanley”.
He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Affinity Funeral Service in Mechanicsville – 8074 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A funeral service will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and will proceed to Washington Memorial for an interment service at 3:00.
