Obituary - Cecilia Leona Satterwhite

Cecilia Leona Satterwhite, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6th, 2026. She is preceded by her many siblings and her loving parents. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Taylor (Gordon) and her son, Eddie Satterwhite (Susan), three grandchildren, Brian Evans, Shanna McGill, Matthew Satterwhite, and her six great grandchildren.

Cecilia’s favorite pastimes were traveling across the world, napping, and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Even in her later years, she was always ready for her next adventure. With a single honk of a car horn, she was out the door.

A public visitation will be held at Bliley’s Funeral Home on Staples Mill Road from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, March 15th, 2026. A Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church or Staples Mill Road Baptist Church.
