Obituary - Brenda Myers Hudson

Brenda Myers Hudson, 77, of Glen Allen, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Thelma Lee Myers; her loving husband of 50 years, Charles Hudson; and her brother, Gene Myers (Tina).  She is survived by her daughter, Christy Hudson; a four-legged daughter, Rosie; a four-legged grandchild, Charlie; her brother, Richard “Dick” Myers (Deborah); her best friend, Gail Dickens; neighbors who are family, Anna Kovilakath and Josh Auyeung; many nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family both by blood and by love.

After retiring from SunTrust Bank she went on to work as an Instructional Assistant at Godwin High School where she enjoyed working closely with special needs students until she retired for good. Her favorite thing to do was spend time at home with her ‘shadow’ Rosie, enjoying warm weather, and coloring on her tablet.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Glen Allen Baptist Church, 3028 Mountain Rd., Glen Allen, VA 23060. A reception will follow at the church.
