Betty Smither Voltz, 92, of Richmond VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 6th, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bunny Voltz; Great grandson, Austin Travis; and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Voltz; son Warren Voltz (Trudy); 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Betty was a loving woman with a big heart. She cared deeply for her family, with a very deep love for children. Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren always knew they had a place in her heart. When she wasn't caring for the humans in the family she was with another family member, her beloved dog Willy. She spent her time alone with him by her side.

For over 30 years she worked at Tuckaway Daycare where she taught countless children and touched countless lives. Even years later she kept in contact with the children she cared for so much.

Not only was she a nice person, she also made it top priority to look the part as well. Her hair was always styled no matter the occasion, and she used to say "the hair is the making of a person". She paired that hair with her signature earrings. In rain or shine she always came out of the house looking her best, not only with her beautiful style but with her beautiful smile.

The funeral service will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA., at 1:00pm on Friday, November 21.

Betty was always a lifelong supporter of St.Jude's, and to continue her legacy in lieu of flowers we request that you donate to St.Jude's.

She will always be in our hearts, like we were in hers.
