Betsy Lou Lilly Hudgins, 77, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Lilly; a brother, Robert Lilly; sisters, Sally Martin, Josie Bates and Hilda Talbert.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hudgins; son, Thomas Farley (Janice); daughter, Donna Dickens (Willie Jones); surviving sisters and brother, Gerald Lilly (Wanda), Orva Babel, Reba Wilson (Penn, deceased), Mamie Bailey (Ron), Rebecca Suptin (Dale), Kyrthyna Autio (Tom); stepchildren, Robert Jr., and Gene Hudgins, Samantha Madison, Mary Dovel; grandchildren, Malik Hancock, Annie Leedy, Nicole Beck, Madyson Hudgins, Dylan Hall, Matthew Zabrowski, Jonathan Zabrowski, Tyler Breedon, Roy Bourne, Isiah Bourne, Elizabeth Hudgins, Loura Hudgins, Heather Van Dyk, Jennifer Via, Victoria Holsapple, Kimberly Parker, Pamela Inkelaar (Deceased); and 16great-grandchildren; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
She loved cooking, gardening, her family and her Lord. She attended Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church for over 35 years.
The family will receive friends 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm, Monday, September 1, 2025 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave where a funeral service will be held 12pm, Tuesday, September 2. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
