Aurea Arlette Melendez Perez, 41, of Henrico, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Melendez; grandmother, Aurea Torres; grandfather, Calixto Perez; and cousin, Carlos Torres.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Isabel Lafrance-Melendez; mother, Aurea Perez; sister, Zamaita Melendez; nephew, Xavier Rivera; and a host of other siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Aurea was a devoted mother, who enjoyed reading, writing, painting, and was dedicated to patient advocacy.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, Glen Allen, VA.
