Arthur James Eberhard, Sr., of Sandston, born January 17, 1927, went to his eternal home January 25, 2026, to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 99.

He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Lee.

Arthur was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather lovingly called Poppa. After serving in the Army during WW II, he worked for himself in construction and later went to work for Bass Construction as a supervisor where he retired. He loved fishing, bowling and gardening, but most of all just being outside in nature or working on something in his shed. In his later years, he found much comfort and peace surrounded by family, feeding deer and birds and listening to classical music.

He is survived by his sons, Arthur (Patricia) and Paul (Vickey); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Lovingly called Ace by many friends, Pop by his sons, he most cherished being called Poppa by his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a service will be held Thursday, February 12 at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
