With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aaron David Oliver, who returned to his Creator on April 19, 2025, at the age of 30. Born on February 22, 1995, in Richmond, Virginia, Aaron lived a life filled with warmth, intelligence, and compassion.
Aaron was raised in a loving home by his devoted parents, Rahimah Jabbar and Vincent Oliver Sr.; alongside his siblings Jasmine Oliver, Akilah Postell (LaWayne), Vincent Oliver Jr., and Adina Oliver. He shared his life with his partner, Laio Ford; and was a devoted father to their cherished daughter, Aryn (1.5 years old). He also embraced his role as a father to his bonus children, Aude’ysia (13), Anijia (12), and Ulysseuz (6). Aaron was deeply loved by his extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Aaron’s life was marked by his unwavering kindness, charismatic presence, and generous heart. He excelled both academically and athletically, graduating from Varina High School, where he was a standout on the basketball court. His talents extended beyond sports. He was an exceptional writer and musician, crafting lyrics that carried meaning and emotion.
Despite the challenges he faced, Aaron remained resilient and full of love, always treating those around him with respect and compassion. His infectious smile and genuine care for others left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Aaron’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 10-10:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 4 at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294, A service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The repast will be private.
