Weeks after a New York-based burger joint announced plans to open its first Virginia location in Northern Henrico County, another new-to-the-region burger spot is preparing to open its doors just a few steps away.

Chesapeake’s Burger Haven will open in the Hungarybrook shopping center at 8340 Brook Road in a site formerly home to a Taco Bell restaurant – within eye sight of Holy Burger, which is locating in a former Wendy’s spot two doors down. Both restaurants are expected to open soon, though a definitive timeline is not known. An access road separates the Holy Burger location from a McDonald's.

For Burger Haven, the new location will be just its second, joining the original one in Chesapeake. The restaurant uses fresh, certified Angus beef for six of its seven burgers and turkey meat for its seventh.

“Every morning, we hand-roll patties to keep them thick and juicy, then cook them to order and smash them on the grill to caramelize the edges,” restaurant officials wrote on their website. “Each one is served on soft, moist golden potato buns with the perfect balance of texture. Our signature sauce adds a touch of sweetness and tang.”

Burger Haven also offers a crispy chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets, fries, a verity of appetizers (including zucchini sticks and onion rings), five flavors of smoothies and 11 flavors of milkshakes, among other items.

In addition, the restaurant also offers catering services and is available to host parties.

Company officials announced on social media in late December that they would be locating in Henrico.
