Isabella Zeballos of Henrico graduated this summer from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Biology.
Rajdeep Banerjee, Lang Chen, Christian Smucker and Keerthana Thotakura of Glen Allen graduated this summer from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
The following local students were named to the summer 2025 dean’s list at University of Maryland Global Campus: Yosef Alkhadra, Kelley Kubasek, Sielalla Lemessa, Jace Darling and Shammara Miller, of Henrico; and Aaron Rochkind, Chelsie Brown, Tracy Davis and Amia Gayle, of Glen Allen. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least six credits and earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
Kaitlin Bucci and Meghana Kancharla of Glen Allen and Jack Kutz of Henrico were named to the summer 2025 president’s list at James Madison University in Virginia.

Vidal Torres of Glen Allen recently started at Hamilton College in New York as a member of the Class of 2029.
Nicholas Kuriger and Matthew Rivas Simonds of Henrico recently started at La Salle University in Pennsylvania. Both students are majoring in Marketing.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced additional appointments to his administration: Virginia Agricultural Council – Carl Gupton of Henrico, CEO and president of Greenswell Growers Inc.; and State Rehabilitation Advisory Council – Heidi Lawyer of Glen Allen, deputy director at Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center.
