Jill Bittle of Glen Allen recently graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a master of science degree in Nursing.
The following local students were named to the spring 2025 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University: Phyllis Gaines, Kelly Rambo, Adam Vosburg, Azza Ahmed, Lorenzo Woodard, Bryan Hutson, London Towles, Christian Ramosroman, Tamiko Walters, Jonathan Barnes, Paulena Marashaj-Jimenez, Damien Bodo, Alia Bryant, Asia Farrar, Lena Wanner, Baeleigh Hamlin and Jyllian Calloway, of Henrico; Iyana Peterson, Hannah Spence, Dante Evans, Balaji Kadambi, Gabriela Houston and Perla Alvarez Carranza, of Glen Allen; and Gabrielle Holley, of Sandston. To be eligible for the president’s list, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum 3.700 grade point average for the semester.
The following local students were named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Southern New Hampshire University: Gregory Ferguson, Amber Dunagan, Denise Eddy, Kayla Blackman, Aliyah Davis, Richard Hurdle, Modeste Folly, Darius Carey and Sparkle Jackson, of Henrico; Vijaya Bhetwal, of Glen Allen; and Tonya Crosby, of Sandston. To qualify for the dean’s list, full-time undergraduate students must earn a 3.500 to 3.699 grade point average for the semester.
Andrew Baker of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Bob Jones University in South Carolina. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.00 to 3.74 grade point average for the semester. Baker is a junior majoring in Business Administration.
Eric Jorrand of Glen Allen graduated May 10 from Alvernia University in Pennsylvania. Jorrand earned a bachelor of science degree in Marketing.
Rachel Becker and Luke Smith of Glen Allen were named to the spring 2025 president’s list at Union University in Tennessee. To qualify for the president’s list, full-time students must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.
James Boyd of Henrico recently was named to the 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) winter all-academic team for men's swimming and diving at Hamilton College in New York. The recognition honors sophomores, juniors and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Boyd, a junior majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies, is a graduate of Saint Christopher's School.
Henrico residents Bronwyn Mulvaney (Elon University) and Michael Milligan (Longwood University) recently were initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
Joe Tate of Henrico conducted and/or presented undergraduate research at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater during the 2024-25 academic year. The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) offers a variety of programs aimed to connect students with faculty mentors and provide them with enriching research opportunities. This can be in the form of working alongside a mentor as a student researcher, or creating independent, student-led projects with a mentor's help. Tate is majoring in International Studies.
Anthony Bullock of Henrico recently performed in “Theory of RelativiTV,” an original devised theatre piece at McDaniel College in Maryland. Bullock is a sophomore majoring in Theatre Arts.
