Milestones: June 24, 2025

Sarah Kang and Luke York of Henrico were named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. WPI doesn’t compute a grade point average; instead students are named to the dean’s list based on the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and hands-on projects. Kang is majoring in Aerospace Engineering while York is majoring in Architectural Engineering.

Paige Schaffranek of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Middle Tennessee State University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students with a minimum of 12 credit hours must earn a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the semester.

The following local students were named to the spring 2025 president’s list at Shenandoah University in Virginia: Kyrie Beiler, Parker Bell, Clara Chenault and Caden Sherman, of Glen Allen; and Lillian Berger and Cassidy Holmes, of Henrico. To qualify for the president’s list, full-time students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher.

The following local students were named to the spring 2025 president’s list at the University of Alabama: Drew Vantre, Rebecca Taylor and Sophie Sands, of Glen Allen; and Sophie Rounds and Logan Brown, of Henrico. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

The following local students were named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at the University of Alabama: Samantha Reider, of Glen Allen; and Alex Hudak, Grant Miller, Virginia Garner, Brude Stoever, Caroline Porterfield, Lucy Whitaker, Reagan Martin and Paige Lowrey, of Henrico. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
