Four Shenandoah University baseball players, including Noah Cornwell of Henrico, were named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region team for Region 6 in selections announced on May 27. Three Hornets, including Cornwell, a Godwin High School graduate, earned first-team honors. Cornwell, a first baseman, made the most of his final season in a Hornets uniform, batting .303 on the year with 53 hits, including 34 for extra bases. The graduate student led the Old Dominion Athletic Conference with 17 home runs and 60 RBIs and had 15 doubles and two triples. He slugged .703. Cornwell also earned first-team All-ODAC honors earlier in May.
Heidi Garmise of Henrico graduated May 11 from Emerson College in Massachusettes. Garmise earned a bachelor's degree in Media Arts Production.
William Garrison of Henrico was named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Lee University in Tennessee. To qualify for the dean’s list, full-time undergraduate students must earn a 3.7 to 4.00 grade point average for the semester.
Abigale Lynch of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2025 president’s list at Coker University in South Carolina. Lynch is majoring in Elementary Education.
Caroline Johnson of Henrico was named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Missouri State University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, undergraduate students with a minimum of 12 credit hours must earn a 3.50 or higher grade point average for the semester.
Gavin Jones of Henrico was named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Westminster College in Pennsylvania. To qualify for the dean’s list, undergraduate students with a minimum of 12 credit hours must earn a 3.6 or higher grade point average for the semester. Jones, who attended Freeman High School, also graduated from WC in May. He majored in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration.
Brittany Ozanski of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2025 provost’s list at Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions. To be eligible for the provost’s list, part-time (6-11.99 credit hours) undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the semester.
