McGee named 2025 Henrico Christmas Mother

Ann McGee has been named the 2025 Henrico Christmas Mother by the Henrico Christmas Mother Council.
McGee joined the council in 2022, co-chairs the Fundraising and Communications Committee and helps with clothing distribution for the organization that works to help people in need during the holiday season.
"Every person has the power to make the world a better place through acts of kindness, and Henrico Christmas Mother exemplifies the beautiful spirit of community giving," McGee said.
McGee is a native of the Philadelphia area and graduated in 1981 from Lehigh University with a B.S. degree in finance/marketing. She earned her MBA degree from Villanova University in 1990.
During her 17- year career at FMC Corporation, McGee worked in the industrial chemicals division in various business roles. Upon moving to the Richmond region in 1999, she volunteered for several nonprofits, schools, and neighborhood groups. Before joining NOVA of Virginia Aquatics in 2011, she was a sales and marketing consultant. She served as NOVA's executive director from 2015 until her retirement in 2022.

HCM is a volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides food, new clothing, books, toys, and other gift items to qualifying Henrico County families with children, seniors, and adults with disabilities – a tradition that began in 1942. About 40% of program costs are dedicated to food relief.
Last year, the organization served 4,657 people, including 2,514 children and 842 seniors and disabled adults. HCM relies upon strong support from the community: financial gifts, donations, and nearly 500 volunteers annually.
