The Rotary Club of Innsbrook, which is celebrating its 35th year, has been awarded Henrico County’s inaugural Heart of Service Award. The honor was presented at a May ceremony at the Henrico County Government Center in recognition of the club's long-standing commitment to community service.

Launched by Henrico County’s Outreach and Engagement Agency, the Heart of Service Awards celebrate individuals and organizations whose volunteerism has made a meaningful difference in the lives of county residents.

Among the Innsbrook club's recent community service initiatives are partnering with Henrico PAL to establish Virginia’s first community-based Interact Club, and playing a leading role in the establishment of an Early Learning Trail at Short Pump Park.

Over the years, Innsbrook Rotarians have also worked with Project:HOMES to build wheelchair ramps, participated in programs for children such as Bright Beginnings and holiday toy drives, and supported literacy through volunteer tutoring at The READ Center.
