Henrico to host Dec. 10 fair to help residents prepare for winter weather

Henrico County will hold a free event Wednesday, Dec. 10 to help residents prepare for extreme winter weather and related emergencies.
The event – Winter Ready: Henrico’s Emergency Preparedness Fair – will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 North Laburnum Avenue and will be hosted by the county's Outreach and Engagement Agency in collaboration with Emergency Management and Workplace Safety.
Officials and representatives of local organizations will offer advice, tips and resources for staying prepared and safe during winter. Attendees will learn to prepare their homes, vehicles and families for harsh weather, power outages and other emergencies.
