Henrico supervisors make appointments, approve $2.7 million in funding

The Henrico County Board of Supervisors June 24 appointed several new members to county boards and commissions:

• Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court – Judge Stephen Mutnick (formerly the Criminal Defense Attorney representative)
• Criminal Defense Attorney – Ted Bruns
Community Policy and Management Team
• Parent – Charles M. Schnurman Jr.
• Private Provider – Emily L. Clark
The Span Center (formerly Senior Connections)
• Jelisa Turner
Keep Henrico Beautiful Committee
• Fairfield District – Brian S. Montgomery
Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen Foundation’s Board of Directors

Also at its June 24 meeting, the board approved $2.7 million in funding for various projects:
• $885,000 to Woodland Construction Inc. to replace the halon system in the Henrico Courts records storage room;
• $485,000 to Gibson Industrial Inc. to remove and replace the sodium hypochlorite day tank at the water reclamation facility;
• $435,000 to Michael Cole Beuckman for land at 6204 Fitzhugh Avenue;
• $373,000 to Richmond Primoid Inc. for renovating the Western Government Center parking deck;
• $315,000 to Pavion Corp. for replacing the fire alarm system in the Henrico Courts building;
• $138,000 to Market Square Partners for land at 4015 East Parham Road;
• $125,000 to unnamed owners for land at 5991 Osborne Turnpike.
The board also authorized its appointees to the Greater Richmond Transit Company Board of Directors to take $200 in compensation for every meeting attended. The current members are Varina District Supervisor Tyrone Nelson, Brookland District Supervisor Dan Schmitt, and Director of Public Works Terrell Hughes.
