Every Wednesday, the Henrico Fur Finder highlights pets looking for a forever home at the Henrico Police Animal Shelter. Hover over each animal's picture to see their name, sex, and breed.

Animals are sometimes adopted quickly; the shelter cannot guarantee any animal’s availability, and animals cannot be put on hold. The shelter, located at 10421 Woodman Road in Glen Allen, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only. For details, call (804) 727-8807 or visit henrico.gov/police/animal-protection-unit.

The shelter will hold a special "Fixin’ to go Home for the Holidays" animal adoption event on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The William A. Harrison Jr. Foundation and Furbish Thrift are sponsoring spay and neuter surgeries for the animals, and the Henrico Humane Society is sponsoring the adoption fees of any pets adopted during the event.
