The Henrico County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension will host the 2025 Bug Bizarre Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Deep Run Recreation Center, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The family-oriented event celebrates the science of entomology through activities and learning opportunities. Youngsters and adults will have a chance to discover the insect world by viewing live insect displays, dissecting insect habitats, and engaging with a variety of children's activities.

This year, the event also will include speakers discussing a variety of insect-related topics, as well as educational booths on subjects such as pollinators, common garden insects and forest pests, and insects and public health.

The event is free and open to the public.
