The Henrico Economic Development Authority and co-working provider Gather held a grand-opening ceremony May 20 to celebrate the launch of the Henrico Global Business Gateway program and new Gather West End location in Innsbrook.
The event brought together government officials, business leaders, and community partners for remarks, a ribbon cutting, and a welcome to the GBG’s inaugural cohort of companies:
• Rego, Incorporated, a digital ID and verification services provider from the Democratic Republic of the Congo;
• Saarathi Engtech, a manufacturer of aircraft hangar doors, gearboxes and screw jacks from Mumbai, India;
• Inpronic USA, a custom control panel device manufacturer from Latacunga, Ecuador.
The Global Business Gateway is designed to support established international businesses as they expand into the U.S. market. Headquartered within the new Gather West End location — a property at 4101 Cox Road owned by Henrico EDA partner Highwoods Properties — the GBG offers members a comprehensive suite of resources including dedicated office space, business consulting, professional services, and relocation support.
GBG members also gain exclusive access to Henrico EDA’s RAMP (Research to Accelerate Market Potential) program, which delivers custom market intelligence to help companies navigate U.S. business practices, accelerate market share, and grow domestic sales. The customized benefits package aims to help GBG members contribute their innovation, global expertise, and investment to Henrico's growing international business ecosystem.
The GBG program currently serves three international companies but can support as many as nine with services tailored to each company’s market entry needs.
“This is more than just a ribbon cutting — it’s the beginning of a new era for international business in Henrico,” said Brookland District Supervisor Dan Schmitt. “With a welcoming community, a robust support network, and Gather’s premium workspaces, Henrico’s Global Business Gateway is designed to help these companies — and our community — thrive.”
“We’re excited to welcome these visionary companies to Henrico’s Global Business Gateway,” said Three Chopt District Supervisor Misty Roundtree. “Today’s celebration is a testament to what’s possible when public and private sectors come together to support growth and opportunity.”
The GBG is one of several strategic initiatives launched under the Henrico Tomorrow campaign—an effort to reimagine underused commercial spaces and drive innovation through inclusive, forward-thinking economic development. By attracting dynamic companies from around the world, it further strengthens Henrico’s position as a global business hub, building on a solid foundation of more than 70 international companies.
“We are thrilled about the grand opening of the Henrico Global Business Gateway and Gather West End,” said GBG member Yogo Dubois, founder and CEO of Rego, Incorporated. “Having dedicated office space within Gather’s vibrant co-working community and access to the GBG’s comprehensive business support services - particularly the RAMP program - are critical to the success of our company’s launch in the U.S. The Rego team looks forward to growing and contributing to Henrico’s economy and beyond.”
