Henrico County Public Schools to host Dec. 3 job fair

Henrico County Public Schools officials will host a job fair at the HCPS Parham Road offices (1910 East Parham Road) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Attendees will be able to talk with HCPS representatives about job opportunities with the HCPS Department of School Nutrition Services. The department is hiring for managers and assistant managers in school cafeterias, with minimum salaries beginning at $34,417 annually.

Candidates should have:

• experience with quality cooking and operating a commercial or institutional kitchen;

• knowledge of food service equipment operation;

• an ability to perform basic mathematical functions, maintain accurate records and handle currency;

• strong communication skills and an ability to work well with others;

• an ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warm environment;

• a high school diploma or GED, plus at least one year of experience in food service.
