Henrico County public schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 21, as the result of a special redistricting election scheduled that day that will require the use of several dozen schools.

Henrico Schools has hired Fairfax’s Michelle Boyd as the new HCPS Chief of Staff, according to a Feb. 26 release, following Holly Coy’s departure to the Virginia Department of Education.
Boyd currently serves as a regional assistant superintendent for Fairfax County Public Schools. She has previously held leadership
