The following public meetings will be held by Henrico County governmental agencies during the week of July 14-19:
Monday, July 14
• 6 p.m. - Foster Parent Information Session at the Henrico County Department of Social Services, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive, Henrico, VA 23228. Contact: 804-501-4001. Representatives from Social Services will review eligibility requirements, resources the county and state will provide to foster parents, the different ways you can open your home for youth in foster care, and more. There is a need for families for children of all ages but in particular children over the age of 12, large sibling groups, newborns, children with medical needs and children who have experienced trauma. Wednesday, July 16
• 8:30 a.m. – Board of Real Estate Review and Equalization meeting at the Henrico Western Government Center, 4301 East Parham Road, Henrico, VA 23228. Contact: (804) 501-4000. The Board of Real Estate Review and Equalization is held for the purpose of hearing previously scheduled appeals on market value, equalization and errors in such real estate assessments.
Saturday, July 19
• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Henrico Police Child Safety Seat Check-Up Event, Walmart, 5001 Nine Mile Road, Henrico, VA 23223. The free event is an opportunity for Richmond metro-area residents to make sure their child’s car seat/booster seat is installed properly. Registration for this event is encouraged.

Tuesday, July 22
• 6 p.m. - The Henrico County Board of Supervisors will meet in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Henrico Government Center, 4301 East Parham Road.
Thursday, July 24
• 9 a.m. – The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Henrico Government Center, 4301 East Parham Road.
• 5:30 p.m. – The Mental Health and Development Services Board will meet at the Lakeside Center, 5623 Lakeside Avenue.
• 5:30 p.m. – Henrico County Public Works will hold a meeting about widening, turn lane, sidewalk and pedestrian crossing improvements on Woodman Road at Brookland Middle School, 9200 Lydell Drive.
