Henrico CASA launches first-ever holiday 'Home for Good' playhouse fundraiser
Table of Contents
Henrico CASA has given a new holiday twist to its signature fundraiser: the first-ever holiday edition of Home for Good, running now through Jan. 11, 2026. With each $10 donation, supporters receive an entry to win a custom-built playhouse — this time a one-of-a-kind Pinecone Cottage.
Home for Good typically is a spring fundraiser for CASA, designed to spotlight what childhood should be – safe, carefree, and full of possibility. Each year, community support for Home for Good helps CASA continue its work advocating for vulnerable children facing abuse or neglect.
This season’s playhouse was imagined by Design Physics Architecture and is currently being crafted by Riverstone. The structure, described as a rustic-meets-modern cabin, is designed to bring “warmth and wonder” to families during the holiday season.
A long list of local partners contributed materials, labor, or support to bring Pinecone Cottage to life, including Flourish Spaces; Sauer Properties; Will Bynum; Mechanical Solutions; C&L Electrical; Commercial Plastering & Drywall; Phoenix Roofing; Specified Tile; Pesetti Painting; Contract Lumber; Jacob’s Ladder; Alside; RC Goodwyn Lumber; Little Greene Paint; and CD Hall.
Each $10 donation to Henrico CASA equals one entry to win the Pinecone Cottage. The entry period closes at 11:59 p.m. EST on Jan. 11. A random electronic drawing will be held on Jan. 12 to select the winner.
CASA will deliver the playhouse to the winner within a 30-mile radius of Short Pump Town Center. Delivery will occur to a driveway, street, or other hard surface accessible by a small forklift.
Henrico CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates — trains volunteers to speak up for children navigating the court system due to abuse or neglect.
