Henrico Board of Supervisors to elect new chair, appoint new Planning Commission member on Jan. 13

The Henrico Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. to elect the board’s new chair and vice-chair, who will each serve their terms over the next year.
Brookland District representative Dan Schmitt serves as the board’s current chair while Fairfield District representative Roscoe Cooper serves as the board’s vice-chair.
The board is also set to appoint a new member to the Henrico Planning Commission – Christopher Phelps – who will replace the current Brookland District representative and commission chair Robert Witte. Phelps currently serves as the chair of the Henrico Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission. The board is set to appoint Witte to the PlanRVA Commission.
The board will also vote on the following appointments to several other commissions:
Board of Building Code Appeals:
• Jennie Monette as electrical engineer
Community Criminal Justice Board:
• Joel McClellan as the Tuckahoe District representative
Economic Development Authority Board of Directors:
• Tyee Davenport Mallory as the Fairfield District representative
• Edward Whitlock, III as the Tuckahoe District representative
Finance Board:
• Carter Whitelow as a member
First Tee of Greater Richmond Board of Directors:
• Leighton Klevana as an at-large member
Henrico Area Mental Health and Developmental Services Board:
• Candice Carter-Cooper as the Fairfield District representative
• Michael Wade as the Tuckahoe District representative
• Charnessa Pleasant as the Varina District representative
• Anne Cox as the Family/Consumer representative
Henrico Housing Advisory Committee:
• Laura Lafayette as an at-large member
• Tim Parent as an at-large member
• Constantine Canavos as an at-large member
• Danna Markland as an at-large member
• Joshua Goldschmidt as an at-large member
Historic Preservation Advisory Committee:
• Kim Sicola as the Three Chopt District representative
James River Juvenile Detention Commission:
• Michael Feinmel as the County Administration representative

Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission:

The board of supervisors will also meet at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday to discuss organizational items and agenda review.
