Free advertising (yes, really!) for your small Henrico business

Table of Contents

Hi there,

The idea of getting anything valuable for free is one that most of us meet with skepticism. And in most cases, rightly so.

But not in this case.

That's because we at the Henrico Citizen are partnering with the Henrico Economic Development Authority for the third straight year to give away free advertising packages as part of our Henrico Small Business Boost program. (And there's no catch – I promise!)

Here's how it works:

• The owner of your small business (up to 100 employees) submits a brief application here by 11:59 p.m., Dec. 15;

• Officials from the Citizen and EDA review applications together;

• 10 businesses are selected and each receives a six-month, $8,000 advertising package with the Citizen in 2026 absolutely free.

That's it!

If you're reading this and work for a small Henrico business, please forward this to the owner ASAP. If you are the owner, please click here to apply. It will only take a few minutes.

The Citizen reaches nearly 100,000 readers online each month, more than 28,000 in our daily weekday email and more than 23,000 across social media – and we want to help your business reach them, too.

Participants in the Henrico Small Business Boost also will receive marketing advice and education, one-on-one consulting time with our business development manager, invitations to SBB events and more.

We're looking forward to receiving an application from your small business soon!

Yours in community,
Tom Lappas, publisher
