U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA-01) this week announced the availability of federal grant funding to enhance emergency preparedness and resilience throughout the district, which includes the western half of Henrico.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity, making $2.6 billion available to state, local, tribal, territorial, and other emergency management partners through various grant programs.

The grants are designed to support a wide range of key safety initiatives, including homeland security, cybersecurity, disaster response, and community preparedness. Detailed information about eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and all related requirements can be found online.
