ELECTION 2025: Henrico Voters' Guide – June 17 primary elections

What:
2025 primary elections (voters select party nominees to compete in general elections in November)
When:
• On Election Day – June 17, 2025 (Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.) at these polling locations.
• Absentee voting in person – Voters may cast absentee ballots in person through Saturday, June 14 at the Eastern Henrico Government Center or Western Henrico Government Center. (Click here to view dates and times.)
• Absentee voting through mail – The deadline to request a ballot by mail has passed (June 6), but voters who received ballots by mail may return them by mail (they must be postmarked no later than Election Day, June 17, and received at the Henrico Voter Registration and Elections Office no later than the third day following the election).
• Absentee voting - other methods – Voters who have received absentee ballots by mail may return them in person to the Voter Registration and Elections Office at the Henrico Western Government Center, 4305 East Parham Road, or Eastern Henrico Government Center, 3820 Nine Mile Road, Room 100, by 7 p.m., June 17; or at one of five drop-boxes in the county by 7 p.m., June 17.
Who can vote:
Any registered voter is permitted to cast a ballot in a party primary, regardless of party affiliation or lackthereof. No voter may cast a ballot in both a Republican and a Democratic primary in the same primary election, but this year there are no Republican Party primaries involving Henrico County.
Elections:
In Henrico, only Democratic Primary elections will be on the ballot. Voters will help determine two statewide nominees and will help select nominees for two Virginia House of Delegates districts that involve portions of Henrico County:
Democratic lieutenant governor nominee
Voters in Henrico and statewide will be able to cast their ballots for one of six Democratic candidates seeking the party's nomination for the lieutenant governor's seat:

• Ghazala Hashmi
• Babur Lateef
• Aaron Rouse
• Victor Salgado
• Levar Stoney
The winner will face current Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares in the November general election.
Democratic attorney general nominee
Voters in Henrico and statewide will be able to cast their ballots for one of two Democratic candidates seeking the party's nomination for the attorney general's seat:
• Jay Jones
• Shannon Taylor
Democratic Virginia House of Delegates - 57th District nominee
Voters in the 57th Virginia House of Delegates District (which includes a portion of the Far West End and a portion of Goochland County) will be able to cast their ballots for one of two Democratic candidates seeking the party's nomination for the seat:

Voters in the 81st Virginia House of Delegates District (which includes a portion of Eastern Henrico and portions of Chesterfield and Charles City counties) will be able to cast their ballots for one of two Democratic candidates seeking the party's nomination for the seat:
