Democracy Circle RVA, a community organization, will host a healthcare town hall meeting at Twin Hickory Library Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m.

The organization aims to raise awareness about the effects it believes some Virginia families and communities may feel as a result of the 'Big Beautiful Bill.'

Experts, healthcare professionals, and community members will be present to discuss how they believe recent legislative efforts are threatening the well-being of Virginians. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their personal stories, and learn more about how the organization believes the BBB could impact healthcare access.

Organizers also highlighted their opposition to U.S. Representative Rob Wittman (R-VA-04)’s support for the BBB. "Rep. Wittman wants to ignore our voices, but we believe they deserve to be heard," organizers wrote in a press release announcing the event.

The organization is encouraging attendees to register in advance here.
