Deep Run dominance: Wildcats' girls soccer team claims state title, top-3 national ranking

Deep Run High School's girls' soccer team won the Class 5 Virginia state championship June 14 with a 1-0 victory against South County High at Glen Allen High School.
Monique McEnhimer sent in a header in the game's fourth minute for the only goal of the day.
The win capped a 16-game winning streak and a 21-1 season during which the Wildcats scored 100 goals and remarkably surrendered just three, en route to a No. 3 national ranking by MaxPreps.com.
In its six postseason games this year, Deep Run outscored its opponents by a combined score of 28-1.
Deep Run last won the state title in girls' soccer in 2013.
