Citizen's Kruszewski earns national award

Henrico Citizen Managing Editor Patty Kruszewski has been honored with a national award in the 2025 National Federation of Press Women Professional Communications Contest.
Kruszewski earned an Honorable Mention in the Specialty Articles - Business category for her piece, “Leaders laud impact of Amazon on region.” The article explored how Amazon’s expansion has shaped the local economy.
Kruszewski was one of 13 Virginia Professional Communicators members to receive a total of 18 national awards this year. The national competition drew more than 1,900 entries from across the United States, with about 250 professional communicators set to be recognized at the NFPW Conference in Golden, Colorado, on Sept. 13.
Virginia Professional Communicators is one of 32 state affiliates of NFPW, representing professionals and students working across the communications spectrum.
