Henrico nonprofit C2Adopt held its 18th annual golf tournament fundraiser Sept. 8 at The Federal Club in Glen Allen.  The tournament raised more than $102,000, benefiting placement and support services for children in the Virginia foster care system needing permanent adoptive families.

The John Hancock team (Alymer Magill, Bryan Winter, Jordan Ramierx and Ed Thurmond), finished first in the morning round, while a team from Keiter (Ryan Beethoven-Wilson, Ryan David, Cole Stamm, and Dominick D’Ercole) took second place.

First-place finishers in the afternoon were Rob Patton, Jason Angus, Ryan Havermann and Jud Elliott from the Hilb Group, while a team led by C2Adopt board member Kyle Fuschetti (and including Mike Chester, Andrew Farthing, and Allan Smith) took second place for the afternoon group.

Among other supporters recognized at the tournament were Sharon Richardson, C2Adopt's co-founder, and Rebecca Ricardo, the organization's executive director. An anonymous donor, who wanted to give a significant donation to the organization, asked that the fund be named for Richardson and Ricardo.

The new Richardson Ricardo Permanency Fund will allow ongoing donations and ensure that C2Adopt will always be able to assist in providing permanent families for children in need – whether through formal adoption, kinship placements, or foster families who make a permanent commitment to a child.

Next year's tournament will take place Sept. 14, 2026, at The Federal Club.  For details about C2Adopt, visit C2Adopt.org
