Pawfect Sweets LLC, a maker of oven-baked dog treats made with locally sourced ingredients, will hold a grand opening party Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. The family-run store, co-owned by Krystal Barnes, is located at 8906 West Broad Street in Henrico. Pawfect Sweets’ menu includes Woofles in flavors like Cheezy Moos, Quack Quacks and Cluckin’ Honeys; blueberry, lamb and salmon Crunchies; nutty pretzel rods; a new freeze-dried line; and more. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: T-Mobile Northeast, LLC – leased 3,966 SF of retail space at White Oak Plaza, 4521 South Laburnum Avenue (Clay Willis and Rob Wright represented the tenant); Drive-to-Work – leased 1,956 SF of office space at Premier Tech Center, 2810 North Parham Road (Amy J. Broderick and Kate Hosko represented the landlord).


Ace Hardware is planning to open a store at the Staples Mill Square shopping center, Richmond BizSense recently reported. The 13,000-square-foot location is currently multiple storefronts at 9077, 9097, 9089 and 9085 Staples Mill Road. GameStop is located in one of those spaces and it is unclear whether the store will close or relocate. Ace Hardware hasn’t announced an opening date.


Virginia Career Works – Henrico Center’s October 2025 Career Fair will be held Thursday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 121 Cedar Fork Road. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers, network with industry professionals, receive résumé writing tips from an expert, and explore various career paths. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their résumé, dress professionally, and arrive on time. Admission is free. Free parking and the entrance are located at the back of the building.
