Following a merger in August 2024, Virginia Credit Union and its Member One division will operate in all markets as Virginia Credit Union, beginning in the late spring of 2026. The brand decision followed a brand research project and evaluation of both brands’ strengths and awareness in current markets, according to company officials. Colliers Richmond recently announced the following lease transaction in Henrico County: Extended Studio RVA – leased 1,364 SF at 5001 Libbie Mill East Boulevard (Peter Vick and Harrison Hall represented the landlord).
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Gild and Ash – leased 3,530 SF of retail space at River Road II, 5021-5029 Huguenot Road (Reilly Marchant represented the tenant); H&R Block Eastern Enterprises, Inc. – leased 1,360 SF of retail space at Willow Place, 5450 West Broad Street (Alicia Brown and Connie Jordan Nielsen represented the landlord).
The Staples Mill Plaza shopping center has a new owner. A holding company, SO—Staples Mill Plaza JV LLC, purchased the 70,147-square-foot shopping center for $10.02 million in a deal that closed May 30. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer represented the seller, Washington, D.C.-based Stavins & Axelrod, in the sale of the center, which is anchored by a Food Lion at the intersection of Staples Mill and Hungary Spring roads. The center was 94.3% leased at the time of the sale. Food Lion has occupied its space at the property since 1986.
