Great Clips opened a new location in the Tuckahoe Village Shopping Center in western Henrico Jan. 24. The franchise location at 11220 Patterson Avenue (next to Domino’s Pizza) will be owned and operated by Catherine Thomas. Great Clips has more than 4,400 salons in the United States and Canada.
A popular New York City hamburger joint is expanding to Henrico County, where its first Virginia location is set to open soon. Holy Burger, which features handcrafted hamburgers made from 100% halal beef and signature sauces, will open at 8300 Brook Road in a building that formerly housed a Wendy’s. Holy Burger also offers vegetarian options, including plant-based patties. Halal beef adheres to Islamic dietary requirements because it comes from animals that were slaughtered humanely and includes no pork, alcohol or other forbidden substances (such as animal byproducts) as ingredients.
Ulta Beauty is rebranding its Wellness Shop as Wellness by Ulta Beauty and recently debuted the new concept at three stores nationally – including the one in Short Pump at 11351 West Broad Street. The boutique space is a “dedicated and experiential in-store concept,” according to the company. The space includes interactive education options, wellness advisors, a curated mix of wellness brands, new branding and navigation, among other elements.
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently announced the following commercial lease transactions in Henrico County: Kura Sushi USA, Inc. – leased 3,200 SF of retail space at Short Pump Station, 11301 West Broad Street (James Ashby IV represented the landlord); The El Group, Inc. – leased 2,745 SF of office space at 3800 Stillman Parkway (Chrissy Chappell and Kate Hosko represented the landlord, and Brian K. Berkey and Karla Knight represented the tenant); Complete Automotive of Richmond, Inc. – leased 2,464 SF of retail space at 2221 Staples Mill Road (Connie Jordan Nielsen represented the landlord); and Cattleya Body Contouring Treatments – renewed its lease of 1,600 SF of retail space at 1107 Welborne Drive (Richard L. Thalhimer represented the landlord).
Tessera Studio LLC recently leased 1,200 SF at 10821 West Broad Street in Glen Allen. Peter Vick and Harrison Hall of Colliers International Richmond handled the transaction on behalf of the landlord.
