Creative World School, part of a national franchise of early education centers, is coming to Henrico's Far West End. The school will offer care and learning for children from infants to school-age. It will be located on just more than two acres at Pouncey Tract Road and Twin Hickory Lake Road in Glen Allen, across the street from Colonial Trail Elementary School and near Short Pump Middle School. Monster Mini Golf opened last month at Regency Mall, Axios Richmond recently reported. The new venue features an 18-hole mini golf course, two mini-bowling lanes, an arcade, and a room for birthday parties. It is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 10 p.m. on weekends.
Anthony Romanello, the former director of the Henrico Economic Development Authority, has accepted a position with research and strategy consultant firm S.I.R., Richmond BizSense recently reported. Romanello, whose last day with the county was Jan. 16, will work with economic and community development clients at the Richmond-based company. Romanello started in Henrico in 2016 as deputy county manager before moving three years later to the EDA. He is being succeeded by Cari Tretina, former Henrico chief of staff, who starts the position Jan. 19.

12159 West Broad Street Partners, LLC recently purchased 0.21 acres of land at 12159 West Broad Street in Henrico County from ME Nuckols, LLC for $1.2 million. Tucker Dowdy and Russell Wyatt of Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC represented the buyer.
Southern Spas Realty recently purchased 4,848 SF of space at 1404 Starling Drive in Henrico County from MaeStar, LLC for $720,000. Liz Gray and Jim McVey of Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC represented the buyer.
Virginia Career Works—Henrico Center’s January 2026 Career Fair will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 121 Cedar Fork Road. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers, network with industry professionals, and explore various career paths. In addition to the career fair, a résumé specialist will be on-site who can share feedback and résumé-writing tips.
