Downtown Short Pump, a shopping center home to a Regal Cinemas, Barnes & Noble and other tenants, sold Dec. 18 for $31.5 million, Richmond BizSense recently reported. The buyer, an entity connected with Hackney Real Estate Partners and its principal, Ashby Hackney, bought the approximately 126,000-square-feet center from SITE Centers Corp., a publicly traded investment firm based in Ohio.
A sushi restaurant, where the food is delivered via conveyor belt, will open its first Richmond location in Short Pump later this year, Axios Richmond recently reported. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a California-based chain that features a long conveyor belt winding through the restaurant, passing each table with plates of food. The restaurant will be located in the Short Pump Station shopping center on West Broad Street in the spot formerly home to Persis Indian Grill.
5018 Airport LLC recently purchased a 28,554-square-foot building at 5018 Williamsburg Road in Henrico from 5018 Williamsburg LLC for $1.9 million as an investment and with plans for redevelopment. Isaac DeRegibus of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.
Colliers International Richmond recently announced the following commercial lease transactions in Henrico County: Professional Restoration Services, Inc. – renewed its lease of 6,693 SF at 4965 Cox Road (John Carpin and Catherine Walker represented the landlord); Jubilant Draximage, Inc. – renewed its lease of 3,582 SF at 8751 Park Central Drive (Malcolm Randolph, John Carpin, Jimmy Martin and Catherine Walker represented the landlord); and Gray Broughton PLLC – expanded 1,579 SF at 1602 Rolling Hills Drive (Catherine Walker, Austin Makepeace and Malcolm Randolph represented the landlord).
