Brook Road Improvements, and Lakeside Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Improvements

The County of Henrico is proposing improvements to Brook Road from Villa Park Drive to Hilliard Road and to Lakeside Avenue from Wentworth Avenue to Fairway Avenue. The Brook Road Improvements project will include sidewalk on the east side of Brook Road, access management improvements, and the realignment of Lakeside Avenue at Brook Road. The Lakeside Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Improvements project will include a 10-foot paved shared-use path on the north side and a 5-foot sidewalk on the south side, as well as traffic calming measures including a mini-roundabout at the intersection of Landsworth Avenue. At the public hearing, project plans and schemaitcs will be available to view and County staff will be available to answer questions. You will also have the opportunity to provide comments on forms provided at the meeting or via the online survey at the project webpage links below. Comments can be submitted to the capital projects manager listed below after the meeting until March 5, 2026. The meeting will be open-house format. No formal presentation will be provided.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Belmont Recreation Center, 1600 Hilliard Road, Henrico, VA 23228 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
