Bon Secours last month opened a new urgent care center in Eastern Henrico – its 11th such center in Metro Richmond.
The new location at 4835 South Laburnum Avenue began accepting patients in mid-October. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinic is designed to help expand health care access for residents and families seeking same-day treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, according to company officials. Walk-in appointments are available, and patients also have the option to reserve a spot online.
“At Bon Secours, our focus is on making health care easier to reach, more affordable, and truly responsive to the needs of the community,” said Carlton Stadler, regional medical director for Virginia, Bon Secours Urgent Care. “Our new Laburnum urgent care center reflects that commitment by delivering same-day, high-quality care in a convenient, family-friendly setting. We’re honored to provide compassionate services that connect directly into our broader network, so patients have access to the right care when and where they need it.”
If primary or specialty care is needed following an urgent care visit, the Bon Secours urgent care team can coordinate that for the patient. If more critical care is needed, the Bon Secours urgent care team can connect patients and their families to the right level of hospital care.
The approximately 4,200 square-foot location offers eight treatment rooms large enough for visitors to be present with a patient, as well as on-site x-ray, flu care and labs.
Examples of the common illnesses and injuries that can be treated at the facility include:
• allergies, asthma;
• bug bites, spider bites;
• bronchitis;
• colds, cough and flu;
• cuts and minor stitches;
• earaches, ear infections and swimmer’s ear;
• stomach pain, nausea, vomiting;
• sore throat, strep throat;
• sprains, strains and minor fractures;
• urinary tract infections.
