Hoop It Up is coming back to Henrico County in August. The popular 3-on-3 basketball tournament, which returned to the county last year as part of the Henrico Schools’ kick-off event at Fairfield Middle School, will be back Aug. 9 – this time indoors at the Henrico Sports and Events Center at Virginia Center.

The Henrico Hoop it Up Back to School event is free for students, with competition in a variety of age divisions scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Individual divisions are available for rising third-graders through rising eighth-graders. A junior varsity division will be open to students entering ninth or 10th grades, while a varsity division will accept students who will be entering 11th or 12th grades.

Registration for the event closes Aug. 6 at 2 p.m.; to register online, click here.  Team rosters may include as many as five players, but only three may be on the court at a time. Schedules will be posted the day before the event.
