The public is invited to attend “Art Night” at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen Thursday, March 23, from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. Mix-and-meet with local artists and learn the story behind the new exhibits. Admission is free, and all exhibits are family-friendly.

The new exhibit will include the public art project Mending Walls, which began in 2020 and aimed to advance social justice by connecting community members from different backgrounds in conversation to foster empathy, understanding, and healing.

The new exhibit also will include The Eyes of Youth, through which young artists from Artreach programs share paintings, prints, collages, sculptures, and drawings that celebrate their unique perspectives and character. These artists include youngsters from after school groups, summer camps, and the James River Juvenile Detention Center.
