724 pounds of marijuana bound for Henrico seized by police during Arkansas arrest

Arkansas State Police intercepted a massive load of marijuana Dec. 5 that allegedly was bound for Henrico County.

A trooper stopped a 2016 tractor-trailed shortly after noon that day after observing it make a traffic violation on Interstate 40 in Crawford County. The trooper searched the trailed and found 12 large cardboard boxes and five trash bags filled with high-grade marijuana that weighed 724 pounds in total, according to the ASP.

The driver, 35-year-old Zaida Sherif Juhar of Atlanta, was arrested and faces felony trafficking charges. He told police that he was driving the tractor-trailer rom Elk Grove, California to Henrico County.

Juhar was booked into the Crawford County Detention Center.
