5k race to benefit Henrico Recovery Court participants, alumni

The annual Bernard Greene Memorial 5K race will take place beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Deep Run Park, to benefit alumni and current participants of the Henrico County Adult Recovery Court.
The event is held in honor of the late Bernard L. Greene Jr., a previous administrator of the Recovery Court, whose impact organizers say was felt by many involved with the court, which aims to help reduce crime and recidivism through intervention and comprehensive treatment of people in the justice system who have substance use disorders.
This event will feature a prize raffle of a week's stay in Nags Head, N.C.
