Three Henrico County businesses will be in the spotlight Jan. 16 as part of the inaugural Made in Virginia Market, a public event kicking off the inauguration weekend for Virginia Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger.
The Spanberger Inaugural Committee announced that more than 40 vendors from throughout the state will participate in the market, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the 17th Street Market in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom. Admission is free and open to the public.
Among the featured vendors are three based in Henrico: C.Miller, JuiceSea, and The Birdie Family.

C.Miller is a women's apparel company owned by Cutina Miller.
JuiceSea, owned by Ashley Hawkins, offers seamoss-based beverages, shots, and jams.

The Birdie Family is a children's book by Monica L. Ball.
Together, the three vendors will represent Henrico County alongside artisans, food vendors, and small businesses from cities and counties across Virginia. Shoppers can expect a wide variety of offerings, including accessories and apparel, wellness products, toys and games, art, paper goods, and specialty foods.
The Made in Virginia Market will open inaugural weekend festivities under the theme “United for Virginia’s Future,” which reflects the incoming administration’s emphasis on shared goals and statewide collaboration.

The first 1,000 attendees will receive a free commemorative tote bag celebrating the inauguration of Virginia’s 75th governor.
“The upcoming inauguration is about far more than any one person. It’s about the common goals that unite us and the people who shape Virginia,” Spanberger said in a statement announcing the market. “I’m excited to welcome Virginians to our capital city and to this celebration of some of the businesses, entrepreneurs, and local vendors who are the cornerstone of Virginia’s communities.”
The market will take place at 17th Street Market, located at 100 North 17th Street in Richmond.
