🎉 24 years of local news — Donate to the Henrico Citizen this week for a chance at daily giveaways and grand prizes

This week, we’re celebrating 24 years of independent, hyperlocal news in Henrico County. The Citizen turns 24 on Sept. 20, and we’re asking for your help to keep the momentum going into year 25 (and beyond).
The Citizen is a rarity in the local news landscape: unlike many publications, we've never employed a paywall. All of our coverage is and always has been free for anyone to access. But it still costs us money to hire reporters and to provide our original coverage of news that matters to you.
Our goal: 150 donors this week.
Each day this week, we'll be making appeals for donations – and offering giveaways to everyone who chips in. We hope that many of you will consider joining your friends and neighbors who already have donated this year in support of our trustworthy, nonpartisan local journalism that helps inform and connect this community.
We know that most of our donors don't give for the gifts we can offer in return, but we like to show tokens of our appreciation however we can! Check back here each day to see how you can support the Citizen as we turn 24 and to learn more (below) about that day's giveaways.
When you give any amount between Sept. 14-20, you'll be entered automatically for our grand prize giveaways.
Our grand prize giveaways include:

We’re kicking things off Sept. 15 with a simple birthday wish: give at least $24 in honor of our 24th anniversary.
