Gavin Jones of Henrico graduated summa cum laude May 10 from Westminster College in Pennsylvania. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration.
Christopher McGee of Henrico graduated May 10 from the University of Texas at Austin. McGee earned a master’s degree in Business Administration.
The following local students graduated in May from Radford University in Virginia: Owen Lindsay, Ella Selfe and Alexis Glascock, of Glen Allen; and Trevor Andrewski, Carson Crawford, Lauren Allen-Wood, Alexander Castanien, Emmalee Johnson, Darre’al Green, Erica Ngo, Keira Sinka, Allyiah Barber, Jesse Bojorquez and Jaleesa Williams, of Henrico.
Xiaoyu Yang of Henrico graduated May 17 from McDaniel College in Maryland. Yang earned a master’s degree in Data Analytics.
Eric Jorrand of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Alvernia University in Pennsylvania. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students with a minimum of 12 credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Michael Lansing of Henrico was named to the spring 2025 chancellor’s list at Western Carolina University in North Carolina. To qualify for the chancellor’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.8 or higher.
The following students from Henrico County were named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Samford University in Alabama: Joellen Konesco, Eletta Michaux, Ava Michaux, Stephen Edds and Analiese Edds. To be named to the dean’s list, students with a minimum of 12 credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
The following students from Henrico County were named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Wofford College in South Carolina: Caroline Burke, Ainsleigh Mancini, McCarver Stokes, Luke Thomas and Jackson Tysinger.
Amara Arrington and Sunniyah Tucker of Henrico were named to the spring 2025 dean’s list at Georgia State University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students with a minimum of nine credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Mackenzie Fitzgerald of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2025 president’s list at Georgia State University. To qualify for the president’s list, students with a minimum of nine credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 4.0 or higher.
The following local residents recently were initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines: Demika Cosby (Longwood University), of Glen Allen; and Cameron Tierney (James Madison University) and Nigeste Carter (Virginia Commonwealth University), of Henrico. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
