Henrico college student receives Goldwater scholarship

East Carolina University junior William Guiler, a Henrico resident, has been named a 2020 Goldwater Scholar. The designation is considered one of the most prestigious and oldest scholarships in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering. Oakley’s Lane railroad crossing to close April 20-21 for repairs

The railroad crossing on Oakley’s Lane will be closed beginning Monday, April 20 for repairs. Crews for Norfolk Southern expect to reopen the section of road Tuesday, April 21, when work is complete. A detour will direct motorists around the work zone by way of Audubon Drive, South Airport Drive, Nine Mile Road and Holly Avenue.
