The Broadmoor Butterflies won the eight-team women’s throwball tournament, conducted Oct. 22 by the Greater Richmond Telugu Association. The sport is similar to volleyball. Players mostly from South India (and the Indian states of Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh, Kerala and Karnataka) living in Virginia participated in the tournament.
