Mc-Shin, foundedin 2004, is anonprofit re-covery com-munity or-ganizationthat servespeople andtheir familiesin the battleagainst sub-stance useproblems.CAPRSS isthe only accrediting body in the nation for RCOs. It evaluates organizations on four standards: prin- ciples, people, practices and performance.McShin is one of six accredited organizations in the U.S. accredited by CAPRSS. Mcshin’s presi- dent and co-founder, John Shinholser, and CEO, Honesty Liller, appeared on CBS's Face the Na- tion Nov. 27 to discuss the addiction epidemic in the United States and the role of organizations like McShin in assisting with recovery.
