Broad St.; Yves Delorme Inc. – leased 1,300 SF in River Road Shopping Center at 6201-6243 River Rd.; European Wax Center – leased 2,043 SF in The Shops at Willow Lawn at 1601 Willow Lawn Dr.; TMS NeuroHealth Centers Richmond – leased 2,037 SF in East Shore I at 100 Eastshore Dr.; Mariner Finance – leased 1,875 SF in Westpark Shopping Center at 9645 W. Broad St.; Dominion Health Education Center – leased 1,600 SF in Laburnum Square Shopping Center at 4816 S. Laburnum Ave.; and Integrated Health Services – leased 1,056 SF in the Tower Building at 3212 Cutshaw Ave.

H&R Retail has been named the exclusive leasing agent at West Broad Marketplace, a new 393,000-square-foot retail development in Short Pump. Co-anchor stores Wegmans Food Markets and Cabela’s are under construction and will open this year, along with TJ Maxx. West Broad Marketplace is a development of NVRetail and Excel Trust. The H&R Retail project leasing team is Ray Schupp, David Ward and Bryan Davis. H&R Retail will be targeting upscale, new-to-market retailers. West Broad Marketplace can accommodate additional junior anchor retailers, restaurants and shops.

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Capital Markets Group, along with Newmark’s Baltimore Capital Markets team, has represented the seller in the $11,000,000 sale of 8000 Villa Park Drive. The 142,993 square foot industrial building, built in 1989 and located in Henrico County, is fully leased to Colortree Group, a direct mail marketing company headquartered at the facility. Colortree will continue operations at 8000 Villa Park Drive under a long-term lease. The Seller was an entity controlled by Maryland-based Fernau LeBlanc Investment Partners. The Buyer was the Stewart Companies out of York, Pennsylvania. The sale represents Stewart’s second acquisition in the region. In 2012, the Stewart Companies acquired the xTeriors plant in Doswell, securing the space for concrete products producer, NewLine Hardscapes, which has been in operation since the acquisition. The sale was completed by Eric Robison of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, and Cris Abramson, Nick Signor and Brian Kruger of Newmark.

Recognized for his success is Matt Whitley, customer service manager, who was among the Top Ten Sales Performers in North America for 2015. He also received his fifth annual Gold Silver Milestone Sales Achievement Award. Henrico Master Gardener training program accepting applications through Oct. 27


The Henrico County Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is accepting applications for its next volunteer Master Gardener training program, which provides instruction in all aspects of horticulture.

Applications for the 2018 training program will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 27. Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 16 through March 22. > Read more.

Henrico Schools will host a job fair Oct. 30.

Henrico Police to participate in ‘Tip a Cop’ Oct. 21


Henrico County Police Division and the Virginia Division of Capitol Police are participating in “Tip-A-Cop” to Support the Special Olympics Saturday, Oct. 21.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. that day at Red Robin, 11784 West Broad Street, members of the two agencies will be working for tips as a donation to the Special Olympics. > Read more.

Participants sought for ‘Walk to End Alzheimer’s’


The Richmond Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, at Markel Plaza in Innsbrook, and the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Richmond is seeking participants.

The event, one of three walks the association will hold in its service area this year (the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck walk was held Oct. 7 and the Fredericksburg walk Oct. 14) raises money to help the association fight the disease, which affects more than 26,000 people in the metro Richmond region. > Read more.

Fairfield meeting Oct. 25 to focus on cybersecurity


Henrico County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman and Fairfield District Supervisor Frank J. Thornton will hold a constituent meeting Wednesday, Oct. 25 to discuss cybersecurity.
